Oh, and the patriotic Santa is darling. I love how you finished it!

Mary - what a great fall finish! I think I saw that wire basket/bottle set at Michael's and passed it up. It never would have occurred to me to paint the wire to make it more rustic. That is a wonderful tip! And I wouldn't have thought to wire a project to it. Hmmm... the wheels are turning! I ordered some sticky board for some finishes, after seeing Priscilla and Chelsea use it a lot. I really don't know how it will hold up after decades (some say it causes your stitching to yellow), but for a finish that is trendy or that you don't plan on keeping as an heirloom project, I don't see the harm.

I hope both of you have safe travels. Looking forward to connecting with you when you get back!Meghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06456059825889195640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4492321594826346563.post-80039923745391912682018-09-30T19:43:02.965-04:002018-09-30T19:43:02.965-04:00Love the Little House Needleworks pieces! I never thought about there being no cardinals in your French village, but I think they add a beautiful touch to each little building. And your PS Santa finish is fabulous--I know how hard it is to get the right size yo-yo! Sometimes I've tried out 3 or 4! Do you use a yo-yo maker, RJ? I bought one, but have yet to try it.

And Mary, your sweet fresh eggs finish looks fabulous on that chicken wire bottle bargain you spotted at Michael's. I need to visit there more often.

Such sweet gifts from Stasi, her daughters, Robin, and Arlene. So sorry that the Post Office wasn't kinder to the measuring cups--they really are adorable :)

Hope October doesn't fly by as quickly as September did--I am in no way ready for the holiday season!! I do not like the heat. Bring on the crisp, cool air and fog of fall!

I find it odd to think of places without cardinals.
